June and Shayden's birthday

In June, dad helped Zuri learn how to ride a two wheeled bike! She did awesome! Taye was such a helpful big brother too.

There was a lot of political unrest in the country around the George Floyd and other events. Along with the Browns, we attended a Black Lives Matter rally at the Utah State Capitol. It was very well attended. Some of the speeches were really good and some were a little weird, but overall it was a good experience.
Shayden turned 19! He got a muffin instead of donuts, per his request.

Sunday dinner to celebrate these two boys getting one year older.
Sarah and Zildy attended another rally downtown, this time at the city county building. She made these cute signs for us to carry!

One day the Primary came around and did a parade! It included the bishopric and others in separate cars and they threw candy and other fun things at the kids!

Trying to still get together while being safe, Zildy went on a hike with some friends.
In June we went on a little trip down south to Moab and other areas around there. The first night we stayed at a little Airbnb in the middle of nowhere in a town called Orangeville. The kids had fun swinging on the swings.

Day Two: we tried to find a reservoir that was supposed to be really cool but we lost service as soon as we got to the area and couldn't find it. We still got out and played in the rocks and water. Then we went to Little Big Canyon and the older kids loved it but Zuri and Taye were so afraid, they didn't even want to get out of the car. They finally did, but stayed very close to dad. It was pretty spectacular! We discovered some cool caves and also some petroglyphs. That night we stayed in Green River at a hotel with a pool and hot tub. We had the whole pool to ourselves until just as we were leaving, another family came.

Day three: on the last day we were ambitious and decided to go to Goblin Valley really early and then fit in going to Arches National Park. It worked out pretty well at Goblin Valley because it was not as hot and there were not as many people. None of us had ever been there and it was so amazing! The pictures do not do it justice. It was pretty hot by the time we went to Arches, so we mainly drove around and saw them from our car. We did get down at several though, and the kids said that next time they want to hike to Delicate Arch.

Every summer the Barnes invite us to come spend a few hours up at their family's cabin. We were glad we were able to fit it in, and had a good time playing and relaxing.

Then one day a pipe burst in our front yard and Jonas had to dig a super deep hole to fix it. They even rented a back hoe to work on it. Shay and Tayevion helped, and so did several neighbors.
Zuri got bitten by something and her eye swelled up. No matter what, she still looked like a cutie!

We have been talking about going camping with cousins for a long time! We figured this would be the prefect year, since there wasn't much else to do. We went to a campsite up North, close to Eden. Leah and kids also came! We had a great time, and on Saturday we went to Pineview Reservoir and played there almost all day. Mami Rosario and Papi Otto came and met us at the lake on Saturday. On Sunday we headed out and the Chase's came to Salt Lake and hung out with us for a couple more days. While we were camping we got the news that our ward would be getting dissolved and merged in with the 23rd ward!

The kids had fun playing and River even got to take the basketball camp with Taye.
