December, Christmas and New Years

During this time we were still spending a lot of time at home due to Covid. Spa nights were a favorite past time, and we also made gingerbread houses.

We did go to Station Park with cousins and rode the ice bumper cars.
We decided it was time that the kids helped with the prep for making Shrimp Etouffee.

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve filled with all of the usual traditions. A candlelight Pache dinner, Ponche, so much talent displayed in the talent show including a duet with dad and Zuri. Among us was super popular this year and Kailee made everyone little stuffed characters from the game.

In the morning we saw what Santa left for everyone and opened all the other presents. We had a yummy breakfast and then went back to cousins. Sidney made SSS sweatshirts for everyone this year.

We watched the special movie that the kids made during our family reunion that year and as part of it, each family made a commercial for the movie.

A few other fun activities were roller skating and putting together puzzles and snuggling on the beanbag.

For new years we went to visit our friends the Johnnies in Logan again. Everything was going great for about an hour, when 2020 decided it wanted to play one more trick on us. Tayevion was playing hockey with their sons in the basement and got hurt. We was in a lot of pain so we took him straight to the ER and it turns out he had broken his clavicle of all bones!
This year sure was crazy and with so many ups and downs and twists and turns! I guess it had to end with one last surprise! Thankfully Taye was super brave and healed quickly. But goodbye and good riddens to the year 2020!

November 2020

The church released the official rendering of the Taylorsville temple. It will not have an Angel Moroni as most temples from here on out.
As part of our stake Young Womens program, Jasmine and Zildy got to work on this beautiful painting of the Savior. It was such a blessing to get to be in Young Women's with Jasmine.

Shayden officially moved out for the first time! He rented an apartment close to the Capital with his cousin Cee Ryle.

Jasmine got two little parakeets or budgies.

For Thanksgiving this year, we decided to go see our friends the Chase family. It was freezing in St. Anthony Idaho, but we had such a great time together. We had a quiet Thanksgiving dinner, stayed at a hotel with a pool, had fun in the snow, and went to see a movie together.
We even did mock "Glamour Shots" pictures with Kai!

That month we also went to visit the Johnnies in Logan and had fun trying on wigs with Michelle!

October and Tayevion’s birthday

Tayevion had been working on a Harry Potter piano piece during quarantine and was excited to play it for the whole family. He did amazing!

There was a lot of wedding buzz this month as Carina and Spencer were getting married! Here is the bridal shower that we threw for her.
Gardner Village Witchfest started and it was an interesting year! We had to adjust our designs to accommodate for masks.
Shayden had blue hair for a while.

The wedding was beautiful!! Unfortunately our family all got sick and some (or all of us, not sure) got Covid, so right after the wedding we had to quarantine for 2 weeks!

During that time we didn’t run the heater so we spent a lot of time warming up by the fire.

Shayden voted for the first time!

Tayevion turned 12! He really wanted a lizard and he got a Chinese Water Dragon that he named Mushu.

Zuri in her Descendants costume.

We had some fun birthday celebrations for Taye and he got a super cool lizard cake from his Aunt Lisette this year!

Taye was Spider-Man and Zuri was Spider Gwen for doing some trick or treating we did at stores with Gracie. No traditional Trick or Treating this year :(

We also went to check out the site of the new T-ville temple that turned out to be right across from Fiiz and only about 1 mile from our house! This was at the ground breaking.
