Ringing in the new year

Our New Years celebrations were at Saratoga Springs this year. We got Chinese food and played pool and other games. Sadly Taye managed to get hurt again! He got stabbed by a large needle and it almost impaled his hand. We had to bandage it up so it wouldn't get wet because we decided to go swimming and get in the hot tub at the community pool! The next day we were small mall people again and went shopping at the Provo mall.

Christmas 2021

We had a nice candlelight Christmas Eve at the Browns home. Then we had our traditional talent show and the wonderful chaos of opening presents.

On Christmas morning we opened presents and the kids played some new video games all together. Then we had our usual yummy breakfast. Then that night we went to Saratoga Springs and hung out there.

During Christmas break we went to the arcade with cousins.

December Memories

We decided to start a new tradition of going to Chriskindlmarket at the beginning of December. It's a fun way to kick off the season.

Decorating the Christmas tree and getting ready for the month.

Our trip to NY was a blast! We went to Santaland and stumbled upon the Stranger Things museum. It was really cool and the older kids loved it! Mom was so excited that she found a street vendor that sold mangoes and cucumbers just like in Guatemala! She was so excited that she bought 6! Sadly the flights filled up and only dad and the older kids made it on the flight. Zuri, Taye and mom had to spend the night at the airport and go to CA to get home.

Jasmine had a Christmas Dance performance. The girls got to choreograph dances and submit them, and three of Jasmine's dances were picked, more than anyone else! Her choreography and dancing was so good!

Zuri loves nutcrackers for some reason.

One day we got home and dad had purchased three Husky puppies! We were all shocked. Tayevion named his T'chala and Zuri named hers Mango. Jasmine named the third one Arlo.

Aunt Cat wanted to make a new tradition of making gingerbread houses together. It was fun!

Aunt Lisette, Uncle Casey, Sidney and Gracie were all in the Nutcracker this year. It was good to get to see them in person and they did a great job.

Cee Ryle was in Elf at the Hopebox Theater and it was pretty hilarious. He did fantastic.

Zuri had her first Christmas sing a long at school.

Taye got a Lego advent calendar this year and we helped him put some of the pieces together.

We decided to do some service and provide Christmas for a friend and her family. It is always so rewarding to sacrifice a little and give to others.

November Memories and Thanksgiving

The Murray Dance Co is always in the school musical and this year it was Oklahoma. The whole family went to see her and support her. She didn't love the play that they picked, but did a great job.

Julio came to Utah for Thanksgiving and we went ice skating and to Leatherbys while he was here.

The kids did some fundraising to raise money for charity with the Ruiz kids.

Zildy had the chance to go to AZ with her siblings and parents and Sidney. They went because the Mesa AZ temple was being dedicated again. That temple is special for our family because it is where Mami Rosario and Papi Otto were sealed. It's also where Sidney served her mission. It was a wonderful trip with lots of sibling bonding and making good memories.

Taye joined theater and was in the play called The Enchanted Bookshop. He got a lead role and played Sherlock Holmes. He did an awesome job and it was so nice for the family to come and support him.

Finally it was Thanksgiving and this year it was held in the new home of the Boston Fajardos that now live in Saratoga Springs. Its so nice to have them here and we had so much fun all together. We also took family pictures and of course we had to go Black Friday shopping.
