Girls trip to Marysvale

Zildy had the chance to go to a little town called Marysvale with some girlfriends for Memorial Day weekend. It was so much fun!


Sarah rented an amazing little cabin and picked three friends to go with her.

They rented ATV's and went hiking and ate really good food.  


They also painted, and did henna, and mediation, and soaked in hot spring tubs. It was a great weekend.

The scene in May and Jonas’ birthday!

In May the parents had a yummy breakfast to kick off Jonas' birthday. 

Jasmine's dance company end of year performance happened to be on the same night. 


They did a great job and everyone met up at Leatherby's afterwards. Jasmine sat with her friends and the parents sat together and don't worry, we made sure that the staff sang happy birthday to Jonas!



By closing night the next night, we had heard the news that AISU would likely be closing for good at the end of this school year. It was a very emotional night. 

The kids playing outside. We were so fortunate to have Aurora, Linda and Jasiel living in our basement apartment. Jasiel and Zuri (and Taye) spent countless hours playing together.

Meanwhile, Jasmine was faced with a very tough decision. Which High School to go to next year. She tried out for the dance company at both Cottonwood and Taylorsville and got accepted into both since she is so talented! But that didn't help her make a decision. So we made a PRO CON LIST and eventually decided to go to CHS. 

Prom for AISU. Shayden went with Mindy and Jasmine went with her friend Sophia. It was at a very pretty venue and Shayden was crowned Prom King!

Taye was able to take a Makerspace class with Joaquin at Thanksgiving Point. They got to use all sorts of resources including a 3D printer, to make projects. Taye made an ink cannon from Splatoon and a Jetpack. 

Mom straightened Tayevion's hair at his request and just for fun. "For the record," (said in mom's funny voice) he hated it. 

Zuri had a game day at school and Taye got to come too. 

There was an air of sadness looming over AISU as everyone contemplated the closure. 

Zuri did another tap dance performance. She did great again!
